Celebrating women-led, BPP-backed innovation for climate resilience in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta

Fantastic to see some of our Climate Adaptation and Deltaccelerate partners featured in a special Women’s Entrepreneurial Showcase in Ho Chi Minh City last week!
Hosted by the Australian Consulate-General to mark the visit of Ms Robyn Mudie, First Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Regional and Mainland Division, the event showcased women-led businesses that are advancing inclusive, climate-smart development in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.
Among them were five Deltaccelerate enterprises:
- AirX Carbon
- Palmania – Natural Palmyra Nectar
- Cocovie
- Vicosap-Sản Phẩm Dừa Sáp
- Ecoka Handicraft – Bring nature to your life
These fabulous agribusinesses successfully pitched for up to VND 1 billion (AUD 60,000) through Deltaccelerate, an accelerator program supporting women’s leadership in climate-resilient agriculture, delivered by New Energy Nexus in partnership with the Australian Government.
Since April 2024, Deltaccelerate has provided tailored training, mentoring and funding to 15 agribusinesses that are strengthening the Mekong Delta’s resilience to climate change.

Another amazing Climate Adaptation partnership between Mekong Conservancy Foundation, Vietnam Housewares Corporation and the Australian Government was also showcased. This partnership is transforming climate-affected rice farms into sustainable bulrush crops, which are then turned into beautiful homewares sold in Australia, Europe and the US.
It’s creating flexible income opportunities for local women and helping rural communities adapt to climate change.
