New partnerships to energise remote communities across the Pacific and Timor Leste
On Monday 15 July, Australia-based partners of our Off-Grid Renewable Energy Partnerships in the Pacific and Timor-Leste took part in a special event in Sydney.
The event, which was hosted by the Australian Government’s Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific (AIFFP), included a workshop with partners to provide them with an opportunity to learn more about other partnerships, and to exchange ideas and insights with fellow Australia-based partners and the AIFFP and BPP teams. It also included a Showcase of the new partnerships with key industry, academic, NGO, philanthropy, and government stakeholders to mark the launch of the latest three partnerships.
Check out the photos from the event below.
There are now 13 partnerships across six countries, the first amongst many more to come as PCIFP gathers pace, with a new $75 million long-term off-grid renewable energy program set to launch later this year. Keep up to date with news about this program here: https://www.aiffp.gov.au/.
