BPP impact in action: Vietnam’s carbon market partnerships driving climate action and opportunity

We’re excited to share the next chapter of the BPP Partnership Impact Series with a spotlight on Vietnam’s Carbon Market partnerships.

Launched in November 2022, the BPP Carbon Market partnerships aimed to harness carbon markets as both a tool for climate action and a source of inclusive livelihoods. Over two years, six early-mover projects piloted credible, scalable approaches across forestry, agriculture and removals, while also addressing barriers to participation and building the systems needed for high-integrity carbon trading.

Together, these partnerships helped strengthen local capacity, tested innovative models and delivered important social and environmental benefits for communities. The results offer rare, field-based insights into what it takes to build inclusive, resilient carbon markets in a rapidly evolving policy landscape.
